GREENSBORO, N.C. - Welcome, welcome, welcome ... to the pièce de résistance of talkin' season.
The ACC Kickoff is going down today and tomorrow from The Grandover Resort in Greensboro, N.C., where it's overcast and chilly - but that doesn't matter, since we're all indoors.
Commissioner John Swofford checks in with the media to kick off the, um, kickoff at 12:30 p.m., and players will meet with beat reporters between 1:30 and 6 p.m.
I already caught up with Clemson quarterback Cole Stoudt and defensive end Vic Beasley in the lobby, on their way out to the driving range. Looks like Stoudt will be participating in the golf tournament Monday morning, whereas Beasley's going to get asked about his prowess on the piano keys.
Stoudt and Beasley are scheduled to take questions between 2:44 and 3:44; Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston goes from 1:30 to 2:44.
Major updates will be tweeted, though we'll be busy asking the tough questions, so expect most coverage a bit later on in the afternoon and evening.
