Eddie Robbins was the outstanding angler, Hailey Cooksey was the outstanding female angler and Jake Hughes was the outstanding youth angler in the Charleston Coastal Anglers' 31st annual fishing tournament. James Island King Mackerel Tournament
The 2014 James Island Yacht Club King Mackerel and Inshore-Offshore Tournament will be fished Saturday. Registration will take place from 6-8 p.m. Friday at JIYC. The entry fee for the king mackerel division is $325. There also is a wahoo division for offshore anglers and the inshore division includes trout, flounder and sheepshead with special categories of Spanish mackerel, amberjack, toadfish, largest menhaden and smallest legal kingfish weighed. Wild Turkey Federation Banquet

Joe's Buddies Tournament
The seventh annual tournament for Joe's Buddies will be fished Aug. 9. Eligible species are redfish (must have three spots or more), trout, sheepshead and flounder. The entry fee is $40, and the captain's meeting will be held from 6-8 p.m. Aug. 6 at Wild Wing Café on Coleman Boulevard in Mount Pleasant. Fly Fishing 201
Capt. John Irwin will lead Fly Fishing 201 schools throughout the year at The Charleston Angler in Mount Pleasant and West Ashley. The cost is $75 for the classes which run from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Class sizes are limited to 10 participants. Topics covered include fly casting to knots and fly selections for Lowcountry species. Fishing for Miracles
