The local Orthodox Jewish community is organizing a rally to support Israeli troops on the ground in Gaza.
The rally starts at 7:15 p.m. Sunday at Brith Sholom Beth Israel's chapel at 182 Rutledge Ave.
The purpose of the rally is to "pray for the safety of the soldiers and all of Israel," according to the announcement from Rabbi Moshe Davis.
Israeli officials sent soldiers into Gaza this week after an escalation in the number of rockets being fired into Israeli territory.
