CLEMSON - The Clemson board of trustees gave its final approval to renovate all Memorial Stadium suites at its quarterly meeting Friday.
The Clemson athletic department gets the go-ahead to design and reconstruct the suites and concourse, which will "improve safety, add 750 premium seats and provide enhanced amenities" per the university's release.
The project is estimated to cost $25 million, which will be funded via revenue bonds. It is scheduled to be finished in time for the 2015 football season.
This will be the first large-scale renovation to the suites in 20 years.
At the spring game, athletic director Dan Radakovich showed reporters an example of the future areas, which include open-air window installation and upgraded furniture in the north- and south-stand suites.
