Helen Cribb of Ashley Hall and William Wannamaker of Laurence Manning Academy were the winners of the South Carolina Independent School Association Bill Simpson Award for the top graduating male and female athletes in SCISA.
Criteria for SCISA's highest athletic award include lettering in at least two varsity sports; athletic awards and honors; recommendations from headmasters, teachers and coaches; SAT and ACT scores; academic achievement; and community and civic involvement.
Cribb ran track and cross country for Ashley Hall. Wannamaker played soccer and football for Laurence Manning.
