Andolini's Pizza in North Charleston plans to reopen Friday after a report of heavy smoke at the restaurant.
Crews arrived at the restaurant, 6610 Rivers Ave., shortly before 7 a.m. Thursday, Charleston County dispatchers said. Firefighters reportedly saw no active flames but searched through the morning for the source of the smoke.
The restaurant's general manager, Mike Lynam, said investigators found something smoldering in an oven but that no flames were ever found. No injuries were reported in the incident, he said.
According to Lynam, crews were cleaning up the restaurant around noon Thursday. The restaurant aimed to reopen Friday, he said.
