A 32-year-old Summerville man was sentenced to life in prison Wednesday for sexually assaulting two children.
Jonathan Brown, 32, was found guilty of three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and sentenced to three concurrent life sentences, according to the First Circuit Solicitor's Office. Court records list his address as Walnut Creek.
Brown was convicted of sexually assaulting a 6-year-old and 8-year-old in July 2013. Prosecutors presented evidence from Brown's cellphone and DNA evidence during the trial.
The trial lasted two days, and it took a jury about 30 minutes to return a guilty verdict. Circuit Judge Maite Murphy handed down the sentence.
The Summerville Police Department investigated the case. Assistant Solicitors Glenn Justis and Kyle Ward prosecuted.
