The Charleston RiverDogs and the Lexington Legends were postponed due to rain Tuesday night at Riley Park. The three-game series and seven-game RiverDogs homestand will start on Wednesday with a doubleheader that is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. There will be two seven-inning contests in the twin bill.
Tickets for Tuesday's contest may be exchanged at the Riley Park box office for any remaining RiverDogs home game in 2014.
The RiverDogs started HOPE Week 2014 with Warriors 4 Warriors. Players helped put together care packages and deliver them to women currently receiving breast cancer treatment. There also was a make-over session at the ballpark through the Warriors Wear Lipstick program.
The RiverDogs and the Legends will start a Wednesday doubleheader at 6:05 p.m. The projected starters are Charleston's LHP Omar Luis (2-2, 6.04 ERA) and RHP Gabe Encinas (0-1, 13.50 ERA), and Lexington's RHP Jake Junis (8-4, 3.53 ERA) and LHP Cody Reed (2-7, 5.92 ERA).
