An arrest has been made after a man was stabbed on King Street Monday.
Esaup Jessie Steffon Wood, 23, was arrested Tuesday and charged with attempted murder and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a violent crime, police spokesman Charles Francis said.
Police didn't know give Wood's current address but said they believed he lives somewhere in the tri-county area.
Police have alleged that Wood pulled out a knife while arguing with a man over stolen sneakers Monday at 735 King St. He stabbed the man multiple times in the torso, causing life-threatening injuries, police said.
