It was only a matter of time before someone created a production about the various sex scandals that have rocked American politics in the past decade.
Mario Correa's "Tail! Spin!," a featured production of the 2012 New York International Fringe Festival, is that production. And now, it's making its way to off-Broadway with former "Saturday Night Live" star Rachel Dratch heading the cast.
The play features actors reading verbatim from emails, text messages, media statements and more from various political sex scandals.
Among the politicians featured is Rep. Mark Sanford, R-S.C., who in 2009 admitted to having an affair with a woman in Argentina. Sanford told his staff that he would be hiking the Appalachian Trail for several days in June of that year, but was really in Argentina visiting his mistress, now-fiancee Maria Belen Chapur.
Other politicians highlighted in the play include former Rep. Anthony Weiner, D-N.Y., former Rep. Mark Foley, R-Fla., and former Sen. Larry Craig, R-Idaho.
