A 41-year-old man is dead after being ejected from his truck in a wreck Monday near Bonneau, authorities said.
Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury identified the man as Gary Edwin Simmons of St. Stephen.
According to Salisbury, Simmons was driving on Harristown Road when his truck ran off the road and overturned around 7:30 a.m.
Simmons was pronounced dead at the scene, Salisbury said. The death was ruled accidental, he said.
Highway Patrol troopers are handling the investigation.
