YORK - Police in York say a loaded gun was found inside a bathroom at a local WalMart, and the handgun's owner called to say he left it there.
The Herald of Rock Hill reports police said officers were called to the store after an assistant manager reported that a customer told him a gun was in the men's restroom near the back of the store.
A police report says officers found a gray Smith & Wesson revolver on a toilet paper dispenser last Saturday with five .38-caliber rounds inside. They determined the gun was not stolen.
The report said a man called police about the gun, describing it to officers and explaining he'd left it in the bathroom. Officers told him to report to the police department to pick it up.
