According to South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, the American dream is alive and well in South Carolina.
Haley, who is running for reelection in November, was campaigning in Moncks Corner Thursday, according to a story posted on The Berkeley Independent's website.
"Driving through Moncks Corner today, I am so proud of the small town beauty you have created here," the governor said at the beginning of her address to the Moncks Corner Rotary Club at Gilligan's. "Small towns are the backbone of the American Dream and it is alive and well in South Carolina."
