Sister restaurants Lowcountry Bistro and 82 Queen are looking to lure eaters out of the July heat with drink and meal deals.

At Lowcountry Bistro, 49 S. Market St., the discounts run through Friday: In honor of its second anniversary, the restaurant is offering a $22 two-course combo. Appetizer choices on the promotional menu include pork-and-beans; gazpacho; she-crab soup and a wedge salad. Frogmore stew, swordfish and pork tenderloin are among the offered entrees.

And over at 82 Queen, (address implied), the deal isn't time-limited: A new happy hour menu, in effect weekdays from 3 p.m.-7 p.m., lists well drinks for $4; house wine for $5 and - if it's a very happy hour - Fireball shots for $4.50. Available food items include fish tacos, crab cakes and shrimp-and-grits for $12 apiece.
