Declaration of Independence Reading
What: To celebrate the first public reading of The Declaration of Independence in Charleston on Aug. 5, 1776, and to instill local pride and patriotism, the Washington Light Infantry will sponsor a public reading of The Declaration of Independence on the steps of the Old Exchange Building.

Red, White & Blue Party
What: This family-friendly celebration will feature outdoor games, snow cones, cotton candy and popcorn. The Tasting Station will serve up Nashville-style chicken biscuits and the Cooking School will feature a wine tasting with the in-house experts.

Salute from the Shore
What: The coastal flight of military aircraft adds more groups of planes for the fifth annual tribute to the Armed Forces. The slower planes will start first, followed by two more flights that will overtake the slower aircraft at different points along the coast. Show support on the beaches with red, white and blue.

What: The Omar Shrine Temple will offer place to watch the fireworks from Patriot's Point with a food truck, burgers and hot dogs and a full bar with drinks available for purchase.
