A 19-year-old man was fatally shot in a car that crashed into a house in Hanahan early Friday morning.
Police were called to East Recess and Old Point roads shortly before 4:30 a.m., Lt. Michael Fowler said. They found a car through the garage and a man who had been shot inside the car.
The death is being investigated as a homicide, Fowler said.
The Berkeley County Coroner's office identified the man who was shot as Terrence Kendall McNeil, 19, of North Charleston. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Coroner Bill Salisbury said. An autopsy was conducted and the death was ruled a homicide from gunshot wounds to the head, Salisbury said.
