A year ago this week we gave you your first photo assignment and since then you have sent us more than 1,000 photos of what it's like to live in the Lowcountry.
We thank you for sharing your photos with us and hope you've had as much fun taking the photos as we have had looking at them.
This week's assignment, 'Shady Spots', resulted in a 'cool' variety of photos from the beach, Magnolia Gardens and elsewhere.
Our editors chose Susan Klavohn Bryant's photo from Botany Bay beach on Edisto Island to run in Friday's People section. Make sure you pick up a copy to read what they liked most about it.
We hope you're feeling patriotic for the next two weeks' assignments.
This week: Red, white or blue. Got a great Independence Day or World Cup celebration pic, or just feeling proud of your country? Send it along. The assignment after that will be Lowcountry fireworks. Just wanted to give you a heads up.
- Send just one (1) photograph to firstname.lastname@example.org by noon on Tuesday, July 1. Include your name, town and where the photo was taken. If you send us multiple photos we will select one randomly.
- We will allow photographs with reasonable watermarks to run in the gallery but for the winning photo that runs in the newspaper we must have a photo that does not have a watermark. If you want to send us one with the watermark (to run online) and one without (to possibly run in the newspaper) please feel free.
