South Carolina is getting an official Rolls-Royce dealership.
Tommy Baker, owner and president of Baker Motor Co. of Charleston and Baker Buick GMC Cadillac, announced Wednesday that the company has been appointed as an official Rolls-Royce Motor Cars dealer. There are 39 Rolls dealerships nationwide, and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Charleston will serve the entire state, as well as portions of North Carolina, Georgia, Virginia and Tennessee, the company said.
Plans for a showroom are underway at the Savannah Highway dealership, and Baker is expecting the first shipment of Rolls-Royces to arrive in early July. These will include the Phantom Drophead Coupe, displayed at the New York Auto Show, several models of the brand's newest addition, the Wraith, and the only Pinnacle Travel Collection Phantom Extended Wheelbase destined for the United States, according to the company.
"Rolls-Royce is the benchmark of super-luxury. It is a natural fit for this brand to have an appointment here in Charleston," Baker said. "Our mission is to provide Rolls-Royce clients with a seamless, sophisticated experience from the time they purchase the vehicle, to customization, and aftercare service."
