North Charleston Police are investigating a shooting that left one person injured on Monday.
Shortly before 6 p.m., officers responded to a call of shots fired in the area of Ranger and Alabama drives, according to police.
Witnesses said the victim was walking to A-1 Food Store when he was shot by a black male wearing a black or gray shirt and hat, driving a silver Toyota with an out-of-state license plate, according to police.
The victim ran home and a relative drove him to the hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries, police said.
The incident is under investigation.
