Gas-fired boilers

Weil-McLain Ultra models 80, 105, 155 and 230 MBH Ultra Series Boilers used for space heating. Serial numbers range from CP 6557046 and CP 6955985. Numbers are on bar-coded label on the lower right side, behind the removable front panel. The boilers have a Weil-McLain logo plate on the front, and are either freestanding or wall-mounted. Sold: June 2012-March 2014.

A manifold cap can crack and release gas into the home, posing a risk of fire and explosion. There have been 11 reports cracking. No fires or injuries were reported

Pneumatic nailers

Two models of Hitachi Koki 31/4 inch strip pneumatic nailers. Affected models are NR83A2(Y) and NR83A3. Numbers are on label on side of nailers and outside box. Manufacturing date is engraved at handle end. Nailers can jam and override safety switch that permits only one nail to fire at a time, posing an injury risk.

Pool sanitation systems

Trident Series 2 Ultraviolet Sanitation Systems for pools. "Trident Ultraviolet Corporation," "Series 2" and "UV Ultraviolet Sanitation System" are printed on black label on the front of the units. "Trident Series 2 Ultraviolet Water Treatment System" and series of letters for the date code are printed on a silver sticker. Go to to determine if the date code is included in the recall.

Electrical arcing can cause the units to catch fire. There were 38 reports of the systems melting and/or catching fire; one burn injury. Details: 855-522-8200.


The 5-inch and 6-inch Mirka CEROS compact electric random orbital sanders. The 5-inch sander is model CEROS 550. The 6-inch sander is model CEROS 650. Model names are on a white sticker on the back of the housing under hand grip. Serial numbers are on the side of housing above dust shroud. Sold: November 2013 to April 2014.

The sander can short circuit, posing a fire hazard. There were three reports of shorting incidents which included the sanders sparking and smoking. No injuries have been reported.
