One person was killed and two were injured in a single-vehicle wreck in Colleton County early today, authorities said.
About 2:30 a.m., a 2003 Buick was traveling on S.C. Highway 64 when it ran off the side of the road and overturned, said Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. Judd Jones. The force of the wreck caused all three occupants to be ejected from the car, Jones said.
Marcus Manigo, 17, of Walterboro, was killed in the wreck, Colleton County Coroner Richard Harvey said.
Two others males, 18 and 19 years old, were taken to a hospital with what appeared to have been non-life-threatening injuries, Jones said.
Harvey said authorities have yet to determine who was driving and whether any of them were wearing seat belts. The wreck remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol and the Coroner's Office.
