TAYLORS, S.C. - Authorities have identified a man found stabbed to death in Taylors.

Greenville County Coroner Parks Evans says 24-year-old Eugenio Velasco Quintas died Monday of multiple stab wounds. Evans says fingerprint comparison was used to identify Quintas, whose body was found in some woods.

Sheriff's Master Deputy Jonathan Smith says authorities got a 911 call about an assault at around 3:45 p.m. Monday. The caller said two men ran into the woods, but only one man walked out.

Authorities say a man who lived at the same address as Quintas has been charged with his death. Warrants show 38-year-old Lauro Aciacia Hernandez is charged with murder and weapons possession.

Hernandez was jailed Thursday, and it wasn't immediately known if he had an attorney.
