South Carolina State University's Charleston alumni chapter is hosting Charleston Bulldog Fest from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Jenkins Orphanage at 3923 Azalea Drive in North Charleston. The free event is open to alumni, their families, and accepted students. It features music, dancing and games. People who attend are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and wear S.C. State paraphernalia.
Chapter President Michael Allen said it's a great way to celebrate after a long, difficult year for the Orangeburg school.
