Sens. Lindsey Graham and John McCain are airing differing opinions on the wisdom of the U.S. cooperating with Iran to aid the Iraqis, according to a story posted on Politico.com.
On the Sunday shows, Graham (R-S.C.) twice suggested that the United States should work with Iran to help the Iraqi government defend against sectarian violence.
McCain (R-Ariz.) on Monday morning issued a statement that, while it didn't name Graham, clearly drew a line of disagreement between the two senators. McCain said partnering with Iran "would be the height of folly," while describing a long record of supporting terrorist acts in the Middle East, according to the Politico.com story.
