It was a brief but profitable reign as "Jeopardy!" champion for South Carolina college teacher Andrea Prospero West.
The Summerville High School graduate and Columbia resident took second place on the episode that aired Tuesday night. She won $21,800 on her first appearance on Monday's show.
West graduated from Summerville High in 1991 and earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of South Carolina. She is an English composition instructor at Midlands Technical College.
Her parents, Angelo and Theresa Prospero, and sister Suzanne Lesage live in Summerville.
The shows were taped earlier this year.
