Mic Smith, owner of Isle of Palms-based Mic Smith Photography LLC, has been named 2014 Photographer of the Year by the Cooperative Communicators Association for his contributions to the Electric Cooperatives of South Carolina's magazine, South Carolina Living.

Robert E. Bendetti Jr., senior vice president and chief financial officer of Life Cycle Engineering, has been named volunteer adviser to the South Carolina Federal Credit Union board of directors. Also, Matt Alexander, co-founder of Palmetto Medical Initiative, has been named to the North Charleston-based credit union's supervisory committee.
