A robber who police believe disguised himself with a fake arm sling held up a James Island pharmacy Saturday.
The robbery was reported at 6 p.m. at the Rite Aid at 325 Folly Road.
Police didn't say what was taken from the store or how the robbery was pulled off but released surveillance photos of the suspect. He is wearing a sling on his left arm in one photo and on his right arm in another, "making the injury appear fake," according to police.
He is described as a thin, clean-shaven white man, 20 to 30 years old, dark hair, 5 feet 9 to 6 feet tall, 150 to 170 pounds. He was wearing a royal blue T-shirt, black shorts, brown flip flops, black military style hat and sunglasses.
Anyone with information is asked to call dispatch at 743-7200 and ask for the on-call Charleston detective or Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
