A thunderstorm severe enough to bring down trees swept through the Summerville area Friday night.
More than 2 inches of rain were measured in the 90 minutes that ended shortly after 8:30 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
More than 1.5 inches of rain fell in 30 minutes near Carnes Crossroads.
Several downed branches were reported, and a tree fell in the parking lot of Margaritas on Main Street.
The rain had slacked off by about 8:30 p.m. near Summerville, although a flood warning remained in effect until 9:30 p.m.
