Update, 6:40 p.m.: The National Weather Service is warning of severe thunderstorms for parts of Dorchester, Charleston and Berkeley counties until 7:15 p.m. The service says the storm could bring damaging winds of up to 60 mph.
Forecasters predict showers and possible storms today and through the weekend.
Today's highs will be in the upper 80s with lows around 70, according to the National Weather Service.
A 30 percent chance of rain is expected with winds up to 15 mph, the Weather Service said.

Saturday: Mostly sunny skies are expected with a slight chance of storms in the afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 80s and lows around 70. Winds will reach up to 10 mph.
