Four months after establishing regular dinner hours, Zero Café + Bar has hired a new executive chef.
Vinson Petrillo replaces Randy Williams. Spokeswoman Annie Bird Hamnett says the menu of the Zero George Street Hotel restaurant will change gradually: "(It) will maintain the same type of cuisine, but showcase Vinson's unique style."
A graduate of Johnson and Wales University in Charleston, Petrillo has won the Food Network game shows Chopped and Chopped Champions. He was most recently chef de cuisine at Prospect in Brooklyn.
In addition to leading the kitchen, Petrillo will teach cooking classes at the hotel.
