The sentencing hearings scheduled for this week for Chris Latham and Wendy Moore have been postponed, according to court records.

U.S. District Judge Richard Gergel issued an order Monday pushing back the hearings, which had been scheduled to take place Wednesday, court records show.

A new date has not yet been posted. It's unclear why the hearings were postponed.

After a February federal trial, Latham, 51, was found guilty of aiding and abetting murder-for-hire. Moore, 38, was found guilty of four charges that painted her as the mastermind of the plot.

The Charleston pair are accused in connection to the murder-for-hire plot targeting Chris Latham's estranged wife, Nancy Cannon. The couple has since divorced.

The scheme was foiled before any harm could come to Cannon when a codefendant, Aaron Wilkinson, 40, confessed to police in April 2013.

Wilkinson is now serving a four year prison sentence for his participation.

A fourth codefendant, 38-year-old Sam Yenawine, Moore's ex-husband, killed himself in his Georgetown County jail cell while awaiting trial.
