A North Charleston man was arrested Thursday on suspicion of fatally shooting a man in Lincolnville, the Charleston County Sheriff's Office said.
Travis Michael Sellers, 23, was caught by sheriff's deputies and U.S. Marshals at 109 Redbank Road in Goose Creek.
Around 9:24 p.m. on May 24, deputies responded to 110 Big Oak Lane to investigate reports of a shooting.
Deputies found Ricardo Smith, 36, of Ladson shot inside the home, deputies said. He was taken to Trident Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
Deputies' investigation led them to Sellers, the Sheriff's Office said in a release.
Sellers is charged with murder and unlawful possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, the release said. He's being held at the Cannon Detention Center. A bond hearing is scheduled for Friday night.
