The College of Charleston baseball team will start its NCAA baseball tournament super regional series against Texas Tech in Lubbock on Saturday.
Game times for the best-of-three series at Rip Griffin Park: Saturday, 1 p.m. (ESPNU), Sunday, 3 p.m. (ESPNU), Monday, 1 p.m. (ESPN2).
The first team to win two games advances to the College World Series in Omaha.
The Cougars reached the Lubbock Super Regional as a No. 4 seed at the Gainesville Regional, clinching a spot with a victory over Long Beach State on Monday. Top seed Florida went 0-2 in the regional.
This is Texas Tech's first-ever super regional. College of Charleston lost to Georgia Tech in the Atlanta Super Regional in 2006.
The last two No. 4 seeds to win regionals have advanced to the College World Series. Fresno State won it all in Omaha in 2008 and Stony Brook reached the College World Series in 2012.

Only seven of the 16 host teams in the first-round regionals advanced to the super regionals. Only two ACC teams (Virginia, Maryland) and two SEC teams (Ole Miss, Vanderbilt) remain in the tournament.
