Charleston firefighters responded Monday to a reported fire at Torch Velvet Lounge on King Street, Charleston County dispatchers report.
Authorities received a call about smoke at the bar, 545 King St., shortly after 5 p.m., according to Charleston Fire Department spokesman Ryan Kunitzer.
Crews found a small fire within a wall of three-story building and the flames were quickly extinguished, Kunitzer said. The bar's interior did not receive any smoke or fire damage, he said.
Units with St. Andrews, North Charleston, James Island fire departments assisted in the incident.
The fire's cause remains under investigation, Kunitzer said.
