FLORENCE, S.C. - The fifth annual Florence Beer Fest is going to make sure local residents get a chance to sample many beers and help others at the same time.
Saturday's event runs from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Palmetto Peddlers.
The event features beers from North and South Carolina, and Georgia.
Proceeds from this year's event are going to help two boys: Owen Plasman, who is battling bone cancer, as well as Ashton Parrot, who is autistic. Both families have ever-increasing medical bills.
Tickets are $25 each or $40 a couple. That covers admission, beer and a commemorative glass. Food will be available for purchase.
