Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is headlining the South Carolina Republican Party Silver Elephant celebration next week in Columbia.
Jindal is the keynote speaker at the party's 47th Annual Silver Elephant gathering. The dinner will also honor America's World War II veterans on the 70th Anniversary of D-Day.
"We are proud to welcome Gov. Bobby Jindal to South Carolina," said SCGOP Chairman Matt Moore. "Our Republican governors are leading the way with solutions to America's toughest challenges. Few governors can articulate those solutions like Gov. Jindal."
Gov. Nikki Haley and Sens. Lindsey Graham and Tim Scott are also scheduled to speak. Members of South Carolina's congressional delegation, constitutional officers, and legislative leaders will be in attendance.
The gathering starts at 6 p.m. June 6 at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center, 1101 Lincoln St.
Jindal is among the Republicans said to be testing the 2016 presidential waters in South Carolina.
