Even with Jadeveon Clowney garnering national attention at South Carolina, the Gamecocks didn't play a single football game on CBS last season.
That'll be rectified immediately this fall.
The Gamecocks will open CBS' fall college football broadcast schedule when they host Georgia at Williams-Brice Stadium for a 3:30 p.m. kickoff Sept. 13. The CBS game is the prime time slot each week for SEC games.
CBS will broadcast 16 games in 14 weeks this fall. The rest of its college football television schedule will be announced six to 12 days prior to broadcast date.
It's the second kickoff time that has been released for South Carolina's 2014 season. The Gamecocks will open their season with a 6 p.m. kickoff Aug. 28 against Texas A&M at Williams-Brice Stadium. That game will be the first televised on the new SEC Network.
South Carolina also kicked off ESPN's college football broadcast schedule last season.
