North Charleston fire crews don't know what caused a fire that burned a mobile home on Otranto Road Tuesday, according to fire department officials. Charleston County dispatchers received a call alerting them to the fire around 12:09 p.m., according to Fire Department spokeswoman Bianca Bourbeau.
Arriving units reported seeing heavy smoke and flames coming from the mobile home, Bourbeau said. No one was at the home when the fire occurred and no injuries were reported, she said.
It did not appear anyone was living in the home at the time of the fire, according to Bourbeau.
The cause of the fire was listed as undetermined.
