The public can help single mothers while also selling unwanted items at a large upcoming yard sale in the parking lot of Seacoast Church's main campus.
The second annual Mega Yard Sale will be held June 7 at Seacoast's Mount Pleasant Campus on Longpoint Road.
All proceeds raised will benefit Maia Moms, a local nonprofit that supports single mothers. An anonymous donor has agreed to match money earned.
The event will run from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Last year, 65 vendors participated, and more are expected this year.
For $10, vendors will receive about 200 square feet of space to sell their items, and they keep all money earned from sales. Maia Moms will receive money raised from the $10 participation fee.
Go to maiamoms.org for more about the faith-based nonprofit, which was started by local single mothers wanting to help others achieve their dreams despite obstacles. Today, Maia Moms helps low-income families move toward self-sufficiency and out of cycles of poverty.
