An alligator was spotted Tuesday in a Hardee's parking lot in North Charleston.
Danielle McAdory, 22, of Hanahan said she was leaving the Verizon store on Centre Point Drive near the Tanger Outlets when she and her father spotted the gator at around 7:15 p.m.
"It was pretty funny," she said. "A gator laying in the middle of the Hardee's parking lot. Where did this gator even come from?"
McAdory said as the large gator approached the busy road, cars stopped and police officers tried to keep the reptile from entering the roadway.
The alligator was captured by police, taken to the Goose Creek Reservoir and released, according to North Charleston police spokesman Spencer Pryor.
