A 62-year-old bicyclist was killed after a collision with a car on Folly Road early Sunday morning, Charleston police say.
The wreck happened at 2:20 a.m. on Folly Road near George L. Griffith Blvd., spokesman Charles Francis said. The bicyclist has been identified as Charlie Goss, of James Island, according to the Charleston County Coroner's Office. Goss died as a result of blunt force trauma, the Coroner's Office said.
Francis said the cyclist was northbound in the southbound lane when the crash occurred. Goss contributed to the wreck, he said.
The driver of the vehicle was not charged.
