A 60-year-old woman was fatally stabbed Friday morning in her home north of Summerville, and a murder warrant was issued for her boyfriend.
The woman's body was found after 9 a.m. at 917 Bushey Lane, just west of Sheep Island Road, Berkeley County Sheriff's Office spokesman Dan Moon said.
Frances Lawrence had died of a single stab wound to her chest, Coroner Bill Salisbury said.
A murder warrant was issued for Lee Dell Bradley, 59, who has a history of domestic violence.
Bradley was thought to be driving Lawrence's blue Chevrolet Blazer, Moon said. The sport-utility vehicle has a license plate number of EJV919.
Berkeley County court records show that Bradley was convicted of criminal domestic violence in November 2012 and that he lived in the Bushey Lane home at the time. He also violated a protection order after his first offense in October 2009.
A stalking charge against Bradley was dropped in June 2011, the records show.
Before that, in March 2006, counts of kidnapping and criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature were dropped.
Bradley stands at 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs about 155 pounds, Moon said.
Anyone with any information concerning the whereabouts of Lee Dell Bradley should call the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office at 723-3800 Ext. 4412.
