Summerville police are searching for a man who robbed a BB&T bank at gunpoint Wednesday morning.

According to Summerville police Capt. Jon Rogers, the robber entered the bank at 10105 Dorchester Road around 11:30 a.m. and demanded money.
Rogers described the suspect as a black man, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, 160 pounds, wearing all black clothing, a mask and gloves. The man was armed with a pistol, he said.
The suspect sped away from the bank in a small, gray, four-door vehicle that was possibly driven by a black woman, Rogers said. He escaped with an unknown amount of cash.
No injuries were reported in the robbery, Rogers said.
