COLUMBIA -- The Bishop England boys' golf team won its second straight Class AA high school state championship Tuesday at Indian River Golf Club.
Bishops sophomore Jamie Wilson, who has committed to South Carolina, won the individual title in a four-way playoff with a birdie on the first hole. His two-day total was 74-75--149.
Junior Wilson Yearout shot a 5-under 32 on the back nine in Monday's first round to set the pace, finishing with an even-par 72. The Bishops' team total was 609, 17 shots clear of runner-up Waccamaw.
BE players also included B.J. Grevey, Patrick Tompkins, Ben Quinque, Ben Burton, Todd Fanning, Brendan McHale and Austin Dowd with coaches John Greavu and Jeff Burton.
