A husband and wife are accused of robbing a kiosk at Northwoods Mall last month.
Bryan Hilburn, 30, and Rasheda Hilburn, 23, are both charged with armed robbery. Bryan Hilburn was additionally charged with possession of a knife or firearm during a violent crime.
The pair turned themselves into police Monday, according to an incident report. Bryan Hilburn is accused of holding up an employee at the Piercing Pagoda kiosk inside the mall on April 29, the report stated. His wife is accused of being the getaway driver.
Bryan Hilburn spent about half an hour collecting jewelry from the kiosk, authorities said. Once he had five pieces of jewelry, an employee asked for it back, according to a report.
Bryan Hilburn then lifted his shirt to reveal a black handgun and told the employee not to scream, the report stated.
Bryan Hilburn then ran out of the mall and got into a car driven by Rasheda Hilburn, authorities said.
