A 29-year-old man is facing a charge of attempted murder following a stabbing in downtown Charleston early Sunday, police said.
Chad Stalnaker has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a knife during a violent crime.
The charges stem from an incident in the 200 block of Coming Street. According to Charleston police spokesman Charles Francis, Stalnaker and another person began arguing when Stalnaker allegedly stabbed the victim with a knife.
The victim was taken to Medical University Hospital for treatment.
