More than 24 hours after the shooting death of 21-year-old Tyrone Moore Jr., brother of Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White, deputies said there were still no major breaks in the case.
As of Sunday night no arrests had been made and investigators still had not developed a suspect in the incident, said Charleston County Sheriff's Maj. Eric Watson.
"We are continuing to follow up on new leads," Watson said.
Moore, White's half-brother, was shot in front of the Lake House Club at 222 Mosquito Beach Road on James Island early Saturday morning. He later died at Medical University Hospital. Witnesses told deputies that several gunshots were fired during an altercation outside of the nightclub and Moore was shot, Watson said.
Moore and White were raised by their mother, Joenethia White, on James Island. Sunday afternoon family and friends were gathering at Joenethia White's home to offer their condolences and support. Roddy White was expected to arrive at his mother's home Sunday evening. The family declined to speak with The Post and Courier.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at 843-202-1700 or to call Crime Stoppers at 843-554-1111.
