During Spoleto Festival USA, the Charleston single house next to St. Matthew's Lutheran Church on Marion Square will provide the historic church's Tea Time Treasures charity boutique.

The shop will offer gift and decor items and Lowcountry arts and crafts, along with homemade scones with lemon curd and iced beverages.

The works of Lowcountry artists and artisans will be featured, including items such as sweetgrass baskets, framed artwork and wooden silhouettes of Charleston landmarks.

Other items for sale will include pottery, serving pieces, jewelry, home accessories and St. Matthew's memorabilia.

Proceeds from the boutique will support Community Center programs, including English as a Second Language, GED preparation, Project Connecting Hands, Healthy Plate Cooking and an emergency food pantry.

The boutique will be open May 23 through June 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

For more, go to www.charlestonteatime.org, find Tea Time Treasures on Facebook, or call 579-0420.

St. Matthew's Lutheran Church is 405 King St. across from Marion Square.

Construction on the historic building will prevent the church from holding its annual tea room.
