Five Republican members of the state House's 10-member Ethics Committee, the committee that will invesigate ethics charges against House Speaker Bobby Harrell, have received campaign contributions from Palmetto Leadership Council, a political action committee closely associated with Harrell, accoding to a story posted Thursday at thestate.com.
Recipients include the committee chairman, Kenny Bingham, R-Lexington, who received received $1,000 contributions from the PAC each election cycle in 2008, 2010 and 2012, the story said.
