COLUMBIA - The South Carolina men's basketball roster continues its offseason makeover this month.
Jaylen Shaw, a rising sophomore, will transfer from the program, according to multiple reports. Shaw, a 6-foot guard from Hartsville, averaged three points, a half rebound and fewer than 10 minutes per game as a freshman.
Between sophomores Sindarius Thornwell and Duane Notice, South Carolina has a young and talented group of guards clogging its backcourt depth chart. That left Shaw stuck on the bench, behind them.
Shaw is South Carolina's second player this month to transfer from the program. He joins sophomore forward Desmond Ringer, who will play next season at Mercer.
